Biblioteca Lúcio Craveiro da Silva is a library dedicated to writers, books and the importance of reading for the development of the community. The library opened its doors in December 2004, as the result of a protocol between the University of Minho and the Municipality of Braga. The library is part of the international project NewLib, which aims to share good practices and test "design thinking" approaches to the challenges faced by libraries in the digital era.
