The UNESCO Creative Cities Network was created in 2004, but it was necessary to wait until 2015 for the first two Portuguese cities to be accepted as members. Considering that in 2017 three more Portuguese cities were part of the UCCN, it is urgent to reflect strategically on the Portuguese presence in the UCCN and on the impact of this presence in Portuguese cities and professionals in the Portuguese cultural and creative sector. Aware of this need, the five Portuguese cities that make up the UCCN have joined the project team to promote the 2CN-CLab Talks cycle "Cultures, Networks and Politics: Portugal in Creative Cities Networks of UNESCO", which will take place in the five municipalities over a week.

In this specific cycle, it was considered that this action should have the format of a round table with the approximate duration of two hours. In addition to the project coordinator, who will moderate the session, the round table should include 4 invited participants. The program of each Talk may also include visits to organizations/facilities of each Portuguese city member of UCCN.
