OPEN CALL: "The Aluminium eXperience" Award COMEL – Contemporary Art
The COMEL Prize - Contemporary Art is looking for artists, over 18 years old, who use aluminum as the main material for artistic works of sculpture, painting and photography. As a result of this open call, 13 artists will be selected whose work will be exhibited at Spazio COMEL Contemporary Art in Latina (Italy). Only one of the selected works will be awarded the prize and a scholarship of 3500 euros. Applications must be submitted by June 21.
The purpose of the 10th edition of the COMEL Prize - Contemporary Art is the experimentation and use of aluminum through different expressive, aesthetic, and communicative possibilities. Since 2012, this award has highlighted the different artistic ways of working with aluminum, strengthened the relationship between companies and contemporary art, and promoted intercultural relations between European countries. "Betulle (Birches)" by the Italian artist Chiara A. Colombo was the work selected by the jury for 2022.
