Gamedev Meet Barcelos
The universes of art and technology are the common ground between media arts and game development. To give visibility to this area and promote the production of new games in the city of Barcelos, a group of students from IPCA - Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave, with the help of Professor Marco Vale, created the Gamedev Meet Barcelos.
Developed to be a space to connect professionals and amateurs in the gaming world, the event brings together a group of 2D artists, game designers, and speakers - including Abel Neto (Noiseminded), Marco Vale, Dyingnome, Guiiness (Guilherme Cruz), UpForDebate, Teknamic, Jaerder Sousa (Inertia Party), André Cerqueira, and the studio I Made a Bug - in a programme of activities with a series of showcases and talks.
In addition to these activities, Gamedev Meet will work in an open mic format, allowing new game developers to present and/or exhibit their work.
Gamedev Meet Barcelos starts at 7 p.m. at the Plátano Café in Barcelos. Applications to present projects must be made using the form available here.
