From music to moving images, the Winter Club is the right space to discover, explore and improvise. From acoustic-digital jam sessions to experimentation laboratories, the possibilities are immense. The seventh edition will have the guidance of multi-instrumentalist Noiserv and director Jorge Quintela. The result of this creation week will be presented at gnration, as part of the OCUPA #8 program, a perspective on electronic music and digital art in Braga.

      Noiserv

      Known multi-instrumentalist who has been dubbed "orchestra man" or "one-man band", has on his resume the successful debut album "One Hundred Miles from thoughtlessness" (2008), the EP "A day in the day of the days" (2010), the award-winning "Almost Visible Orchestra" (2013) and "00:00:00:00:00:00:00" (2016). He returned in 2020 to recording with "Uma Palavra Começada Por N", a work written entirely in Portuguese. He also integrates other musical projects such as You Can't Win, Charlie Brown, of which he is a founding member, and has collaborated in theater projects with Marco Martins, Nuno M. Cardoso and Rui Horta, and in film with Miguel Gonçalves Mendes and Paulo Branco.

       

      Jorge Quintela
      Director and director of photography, Jorge Quintela has collaborated with other film stars such as Edgar Pera, Rodrigo Areias, Rita Azevedo Gomes, Gabriel Abrantes, Salomé Lamas and Diogo Costa Amarante. In 2010, he premiered his first short fiction film, "Ausstieg", awarded an Honorable Mention in the experimental competition of Curtas Vila do Conde. "Love is the solution for the lack of a script", "Sobre El Cielo" and "Carosello" are other of cinematographic works that have already earned him awards and nominations at festivals. Alongside his film work, he has been presenting 16mm video installation works and audiovisual performances. In 2019, he has been invited to present a sound installation at the TSONAMI International Sound Art Festival in Chile.
