Horses strolling through the castle ruins, resting in the turpentine trees, dancing beneath a strawberry Moon. These dream-like images, inspired by the lyrics of Nick Cave's ‘Cinnamon Horses’, form a springboard into synthetic, imagined realities. Based on these fictional realities, The Wrong Biennale is launching the open call that accompanies its 7th edition.

Founded in 2013 in Copenhagen, Denmark, The Wrong Biennale is a global art event dedicated to creating and promoting artistic creativity on virtual, physical, and hybrid platforms. Over the last decade, the biennale has functioned as a laboratory, a network of networks, an exhibition of exhibitions, becoming a reference point on the digital art scene, which has already given visibility to the work of more than 10,000 artists through more than 800 digital and physical exhibitions curated by artists from every continent.

In this new edition, the biennial is looking for painters, photographers, writers, poets, illustrators, sculptors, sound artists, generative artists, urban artists, etc. who explore Artificial Intelligence as a catalyst for radical innovation, inclusion, and innovative artistic expression. To join the initiave, each artist or group should send an email to join@chronotopes.net with one to six still image proposals (no video or animation), accompanied by a short description and biographical note (the images should be sent via a Swiss Transfer link and should not be attached to the email).

The 30 selected works will be presented online and/or physically at the ‘Moons, Castles, Trees’ exhibition, hosted by the biennial from 1 November 2025 to 31 March 2026 in Copenhagen (Denmark). The open call is completely free and runs until 15 September 2025. More information is available on The Wrong Biennale website.
