OPEN CALL: Residency in Technological and Multimedia Arts
Promoted by the Lisbon City Council, the 'Residency in Technological and Multimedia Arts' programme returns for its 3rd edition with an open call for artists running until June 30.

To support and enhance contemporary artistic creation, Lisbon City Council (Portugal) launched an open call for the 3rd edition of the 'Residency in Technological and Multimedia Arts' programme.
Aimed at national or foreign artists aged 18 to 35, who live, study or work in the municipality of Lisbon, the initiative seeks to promote innovative artistic and authorial expressions, offering a four-month residency at the Avenidas - Um Teatro em Cada Bairro, an artistic venue located in Bairro do Rego (Lisbon, PT).
Supported with a creative grant of €4,000, the winner of the open call is challenged to develop a project that results from the creative use of computational tools and computer communication, using digital arts, sound arts, video art, net art, interactive arts, and 3D images to give life to an original work that reveal new perspectives on the intersection of art and technology.
Artists must have proven training and/or experience in the artistic or professional field, and be proficient in audiovisual and/or new media production and editing softwares. The residency will take place between September 1 and December 31, 2025 in the aforementioned Avenidas venue. The proposal developed must be unequivocally articulated with the local territory/community.
Applications must be submitted by June 30 on the Lisbon City Council website.
