Between May and August, Venice will host the new edition of the Borders Art Fair, an exhibition that brings together hundreds of international artists from different artistic backgrounds.

Until May 2, the ITSLIQUID group and the German-Italian Cultural Association (ACIT) are promoting an open call for artists who want to be part of this exhibition.

The actions of contemporary society are shaped by borders and boundaries, be they geographical, physical, social, cultural, artistic or technological.

Inspired by this premise, the ITSLIQUID group, in collaboration with the German-Italian Cultural Association (ACIT Venice), is promoting an open call for the Borders Art Fair 2025, an annual exhibition that this year fills the Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello in Venice with works by international artists between May and June. In the 2023 edition, there were more than 500 works on display, made by 250 artists from 40 different countries.

Taking place in parallel with the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale, the initiative invites artists from all over the world working in the fields of photography, painting, video art, installations, sculpture and the performing arts to explore the concept and power of borders and to take part in the three main events of the new edition of the exhibition:

• HYBRID IDENTITIES from May 23 to June 06, 2025, at Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello
• SECRET SPACES from June 26 to July 10, 2025, at Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello
• FUTURE LANDSCAPES from July 25 to August 08, 2025, at Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello

The 2025 edition seeks to support the work of artists and exhibitors, giving them the opportunity to present their work to an international audience of professionals such as curators, collectors and publishers, as well as being part of the printed catalog of the new edition of the exhibition.

The open call closes on May 2nd. Find out more about applications at BORDERS ART FAIR 2025.
