Circuito will be at Noite Branca with two experimentation stations. In the morning, we will learn about the magic of pixilation and make films in stop motion, a technique that uses a sequence of differet photographs of the same inanimate object to simulate its movement. In the afternoon, it's sound time! We will collect sounds around us and turn them into into music!

Explore and Learn Pixillation - Animation with the body

The practice of animation filmmaking puts the participants in contact with a new creative process with a huge number of possibilities. In this workshop, we will freely explore stop motion animation, specifically pixilation. This consists of photographing each instant of a sequential action, be it a person or an object, in order to create the illusion of continuous movement. This will be a hands-on workshop, where participants are invited to learn the basic concepts of animation and then experiment with animation. The exercises will be carried out with a camera and/or cell phone and the whole community is invited to participate.

      Sound Puzzles

Which sounds are around us? Can we make music with the sound of traffic or the "noise" of the wind? What if it's a coffee machine or the church bell? In this activity, we will listen to the sounds around us and capture them using technology! Then, we will combine them like puzzle pieces to create unique and unrepeatable sound compositions!
