BMA lab: Circular Division with Peter Kutin and Patrik Lechner
One day after presenting the performance ROTOЯ - SONIC BODY at gnration, Peter Kutin joins Patrik Lechner, with whom he has been collaborating, for a masterclass and workshop.
In the morning, Kutin will talk about his creative process and what led him to create the first kinetic installation TORSO#1 and the performance ROTOЯ - SONIC BODY, in which rotation and speed modulations are key elements. Lechner will talk about the unique videomapping concept he created for this performance.
The afternoon is reserved for a workshop with the two Austrian artists, based on the exploration of the piece ROTOЯ - SONIC BODY. Participants will learn behind the scenes how the "Rotor" works. Kinetic sculpture, rotating sound sources and videomapping are the focus of the workshop, which will also detail the software (touch designer, maxmsp, abelton), mechanics and technology that makes the performance work.
