Immersed in creative sessions since March of this year, ODE - Electronic Devices Orchestra of Circuito presents its first concert of the year on June 7, an original show where electronic and acoustic sounds come together with the visual aspect, developed live by the students of the Master's Degree in Media Arts at the University of Minho.

Since 2019, ODE - Electronic Devices Orchestra has established itself as a place for meeting and sharing around sound exploration.

In this first performance under the direction of harpist and composer Angélica Salvi, the ensemble composed by musicians and non-musicians from Braga interweaves electronic and organic sounds to draw a new sound cartography in constant metamorphosis. In a narrative where every gesture reveals hidden voices, synthesizers, electronic objects and field recording inhabit the same space as guitars, basses and keyboards, creating original soundscapes that respond to the same pulse: textures that expand, rhythms that appear and disappear, and densities that breathe to the beat of a shared sensibility.

Assuming active listening as the compass and root of artistic creation, ODE occupies the gnration's outdoor stage on Saturday night - June 7 at 10 p.m. - to involve the audience in a delicate and immersive atmosphere where directed improvisation serves as a pillar for experimenting with new sounds. In addition to the original music created by the informal orchestra, there will be a visual component, created and manipulated live by students from the University of Minho's Masters in Media Arts.
