This workshop was designed for Educational Services colaborators and artistic mediators. We will work on a set of mediation techniques that facilitate relations between audiences and artistic objects. Artur Carvalho will guide the participants trhough topics such as creation and planning of artistic workshops in its different phases, group game dynamics adapted to different audiences, creative games for collaborative processes, including the importance of communication in conducting workshops.

      Artur Carvalho

      He graduated in Civil Engineering at the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto. His passion for music led him to abandon the engineering career to work at various community art projects, always aiming to contribute to human development. As a mediator of Casa da Música Educational Service, he collaborates since 2010 with “Factor E!”, in the creation and promotion of workshops and in the development of musical works with communities. Artur Carvalho was part of the cast (and co-author) of family shows produced by Casa da Música. Since 2016 he is the Artistic Director of TUM TUM TUM, a part of Calouste Gulbenkian's program PARTIS - Artistic Practices for Social Inclusion, with the objective of developing social skills and employability in unemployed young people through music.
