O Estado do Mundo (Quando Acordas)
To what extent can objects from our everyday lives be responsible for major natural disasters? What is the impact of our actions on the other side of the planet? O Estado do Mundo (Quando Acordas) puts into play cause-effect relationships between small gestures and big consequences.
Edi is an 8-year-old boy with a very full life. Every day he consumes and discards many things until he receives an unexpected invitation. At that moment, he begins a journey through a world invisible to his eyes, marked by the climate crisis. In a world out of order, it is necessary to look to the past and make everything right in the future. Time is always ticking.
O Estado do Mundo (Quando Acordas) is the first show of a diptych that is intended to think about the state of the world - natural, political, geographical, social, historical, economic, and human.
