TempStudio is a one week artists-in-residence studio space with a focus on digital experiments. It happens twice a year and is organised by a group of artists based in Lisbon who aim to foster the production of digital media art in Portugal.

Temp Studio is a temporary production space created to help bring ideas outside the computer, experiment and document them in a real-scale environment. A place where you can meet other artists who work within the field of digital arts, share ideas, and test your work-in-progress with an audience.

During the week you’ll be working and networking with the other artists in residence. On the last day we make an Open Day for everyone, where you can present your work-in-progress with a talk, installation, performance — you decide. We don’t expect finished works. Temp Studio is all about the creative process!

We’ll be selecting a maximum of 20 artists and charging a participation fee of 130€, including studio rental, accommodation, lunch (7*days) and one official dinner party. Be aware that inscriptions are single-based even if you apply as a collective group. Temp Studio is a self-funded project so we can’t cover any production or travel expenses.

Download the inscription form here and send it to info.tempstudio@gmail.com. If you’re interested in creative programming, VR, augmented reality, big data, electronic AV performance, dance tech and all sort of digital experiments, join us!
