Creative Industry Košice, the focal point of Košice Creative City of Media Arts is announcing an OPEN CALL for speakers for Art & Tech Conference for UNESCO Creative Cities.

Being a central event of Art & Tech Days festival (Nov. 21-24) that explores the interconnections between arts, science, and technology, the Conference seeks relevant and interesting speakers to facilitate its goals. Conference's theme is Augmented Creativity or How artificial intelligence and advanced technologies are challenging arts, creativity and human life.

The goal is to present speakers from different domains such as neurology, machine learning, generative art, innovations, philosophy and try to make 360°overview on the question how ML/AI and cutting-edge tech interfere with life and creation. The speakers should bring their own original perspective on the topic of merging arts and technologies, how data, AI, machine learning could be used as a source for creativity and art creation.

 

Practicals:

The Conference is planned for 22 November 2018 in Košice, Slovakia.  

Creative Industry Košice will cover travel, accommodation and a fee for 1-2 selected speakers.

Conference language is English.

Deadline for submission of proposals is 15 July 2018.

Objectives of the conference: raising awareness for media arts and innovations, discussing new solutions for future of creative industries, bringing together communities of artists, technologists and researchers, strengthening international cooperation, educating and inspiring audiences.

Target audiences: artists, creative industries and IT workers, university students, policymakers, media.

Expected number of visitors of Art & Tech Conference: 250 participants

Besides the conference, the festival Art & Tech Days includes also art program, hands-on workshops and networking activities.
